About Gim MBA

Fundamentals of Management are imparted to the students through 17 core courses and 8 electives spread across four semesters. The students also get a feel of the corporate world through the summer project, which they undertake by attaching themselves to industrial organisations. Specializations are offered in the areas of Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Systems and Production & Operations Management.

PG Diploma in Entrepreneur Development


GIM offers an additional PG Diploma in Entrepreneur Development along with the regular MBA programme. This PG Diploma is newly instituted by the Bharathiar University. No extra fee is payable to the institute for this diploma. Students have to pass one additional course in all the four semesters to be eligible for the Diploma.

GIM organizes two National Level Seminars during a year on current topics inviting renowned faculty members from leading Management Institutes in India. Besides. Seminars, Workshops, Conferences, Debates, Paper Presentation Contests are periodically conducted at GIM to enrich the knowledge of the students.

MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION

All students become members of the management association 'VISION' and are automatically involved with the various extra curricular activities, the moment they enroll into the Management Programme. This association is managed by the students themselves with an expressed objective of their personality development. This association organises various programmes such as cultural shows, internal competitions, external seminars. The 'VISION' also sponsors annual programmes like Brand wars, Ad-wars and Mock interviews-to name a few.

GIM conducted a National level Management Student's meet GIMFEST -2006 on 11th February 2006. The objective of this meet is to provide our students a hands-on experience in event management and also to provide a platform for other students to exhibit their various skills.

GIM publishes a management journal biannually to keep the students / faculty abreast of latest trends in the sphere of management. Students are also expected to contribute articles / case analysis in the journal.

GIM celebrates its annual day on the first Sunday of March every year. The best programmes from Sargostav are selected for the college day celebrations. This is followed by award and prize distribution ceremony for the meritorious and prize winning students.
